Sprinkler Fun

Ellie got a new sprinkler for her birthday from Grandma and Grandpa, and it was finally nice enough to try it out! Zach didn't want anything to do with it, but it was so much fun watching the girls! I love the way they held hands most of the time as they ran through the sprinkler...they are such good friends!

Tadpoles

We love teaching our kids about nature and God's creations, so we decided to try catching some tadpoles so the kids could watch their transformations. While at the pond, we also caught quite a few frogs and toads (we threw the frogs and toads back, but we did find several tadpoles and eggs to raise). The kids didn't hesitate at all...they loved holding the toads!

By the time we were done, I think Ellie had about 10 roads in her net!

Zach had fun trying to catch the toads, but most of them were a little too quick for him!

Wedding

We were able to go to Greg's cousin's wedding in Des Moines. This was the first wedding the girls had been to, and they were absolutely enthralled with the "girl that looks like a princess" (the bride). Zach thought he was pretty cool, because he got to wear a tie, just like daddy!

We had so much fun with Grandpa and Grandma Isaacson!
The kids had fun taking pictures of each other at the reception. Some of them actually turned out quite well!

Friendship

Hannah and Ellie have become great friends, and they look forward to playing together each day. They both have very active imaginations, and can play with their dolls or little figurines for hours upon hours. I love to see this friendship blossoming between them!

Parties!

Ellie got to share a birthday party with her friend, Paige. They love being able to share a party together! The girls decided that they wanted to play games for their party, so we spent most of the time chasing each other through the yard playing Hill, Hill, Over the Hill, Duck, Duck, Goose, and Sharks and Minnows. Afterwards, they got to eat flower cupcakes and open presents. We had a great time!

After the party, Zach and Alaina had fun playing in Zach's room. Those two have so much fun together!
After her friends party, Grandpa and Grandma Glace came, and we got to celebrate with them, too! Two parties in one day...what more could a girl ask for!?!


Our little princess wanted a princess cake. She was so excited that she would get to keep the princess afterwards!
