Okay, so it has been a REALLY long time since I have updated my blog. I'm sure some of you had probably given up on me! I have added a lot of new posts now, so if you want to see what we've been up to the last few months, keep reading!
My parents watched the kids this weekend, so we got to have some fun doing one of our favorite pastimes...frisbee golf! Before we had kids, we used to play with Mark, Melanie, and Sandeep 3-4 times a week.
Melanie and I always play "best shot" and Mark and Greg play on their own. It is much more fun for us that way because we can actually compete with them. Can you guess who won!?!?
This is the conversation I heard between Hannah and Ellie as I was about to open the door to their room after nap time:
Hannah: Are you God?
Ellie: Yes, I God!
When I opened the door to their room, I found Ellie sitting cross legged on top of her dresser. I tried to scold her without laughing too much. When I told her that it was not okay to climb on the dresser, she said, "But I God!" I told her again that she couldn't climb up there, and she replied, "I God, it says so in the Bible!"
I'm glad that she knows the Bible is the ultimate authority, but I think her theology is a little off! :)
Hannah and Ellie had fun coloring their Easter eggs this year. The kids waited downstairs while we hid the eggs in the yard. Waiting for me to say "go" before they could find their eggs. Enjoying their Easter treats. Aubrey, Cameron, Hannah, and Ellie posing at church. We tried to get a picture with the babies, too. This was as good as we could get.
It was such a beautiful day today! I let all three kids play outside by themselves for the first time!
Zach loved being in the swing. Ellie was such a good big sister...she pushed him in the swing for about an hour! Hannah loved swinging next to him and making him laugh! What a fun day!
Katie, Blake, and Brenna came to visit today. The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins! Somehow I didn't get any pictures of Blake, but here are some cute ones of the girls with Brenna.
I played an April Fool's joke on the kids for supper tonight. Can you guess what it was? The "pie" was actually meatloaf with mashed potatoes on top, and the "grilled cheese" was actually shortcake with orange frosting in the middle. I told the kids that they could eat dessert first tonight, and they were so excited. Hannah took one bite of the "pie" and said "This is not yummy!" They thought it was fun once they realized the "grilled cheese" was actually dessert.
