Pool Time

It has been nice enough the last few days to get out our new pool!  The kids have had so much fun with it!

This was Zach's first time playing in the pool.

Outdoor Fun

It has been so nice out the last few days, so we have spent quite a bit of time "exploring" in our yard.  One of Ellie's friends gave her a magnifying glass and a bug catcher for her birthday, so we have been trying to catch a lot of bugs.  We haven't actually caught any yet, but the girls sure do love to try!

They girls love all of the flowers we have in our yard.  It is so much fun to check on the flowers with them every afternoon.

We had our first harvest of the season...rhubarb!  The girls had a blast helping me pick it.  They carried the rhubarb stalks around like umbrellas for a long time.

Sesame Street Live

Hannah and Ellie got to go to Sesame Street Live tonight with Mark, Melanie, and Paige.  They had such a great time!  

Hannah and Ellie loved seeing all of the characters.  They were both so giddy when they got home.  We laughed for quite a while as they tried to reenact the show for us late at night.  Ellie kept laughing and spinning while she pretended to be Abby Cadaby.

Another Birthday Party for Ellie

We had another birthday party for Ellie this weekend!  Grandpa and Grandma Glace came down to celebrate with us.  

She was so excited to blow out birthday candles again!

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Ellie, but I think Zach thought it was for him!  

Grandpa and Grandma gave Ellie some princess dress-up clothes.  She loved them and wore them the rest of the day!

Grandpa was a great sport and even let Hannah put the earings on him!  I think these will be great blackmail pictures in years to come!

Ellie was so excited to get her very own candy!  I was so proud of her, though, because she wanted to share it with everyone without us even asking her to1

Ellie loves playing "Mommy," so this baby with clothes and a crib was perfect for her!  She has slept with it every night since!

Ellie was so tired by the end of the night...I guess three parties in one week can really wear a girl out!

We had a lot of fun blowing up balloons for the kids and then letting them fly around the room.  Zach was hilarious to watch!  He was so determined to get the balloons, and he was even trying to blow them up himself!

A Party with Friends

Ellie had a birthday party with all of her friends today.  She shared a party with her friend, Paige, whose birthday is two days before hers.  We let the kids all paint their own flower pots.

Paige and Ellie were the last ones to finish their flower pots.  They both made sure every inch was covered with paint.  Great job, girls!

We also let the kids frost their own cupcakes.

I can't believe my little girl is already 3 years old!  It shouldn't be such a shock to me, because she reminds me all the time that "I big, Mom!"  She was so excited about her birthday.  I think that is all we have talked about for several weeks.

The Safly's came over to help us celebrate the day.  I love the picture above...that is such a typical Ellie face.  She has always been so expressive!

Ellie had been thinking all day about who would get to eat what part of Tigger.  It took some interesting cake cutting techniques, but she is a girl who knows what she wants!  In case you are wondering, I got to eat one eye.
